Founded by passionate whisky enthusiast, David Gowans, Global Whisky Limited first made their mark in the world of whisky in 2017.
We are an independent bottler specialising in small batch releases under our three distinguished whisky brands; Auld Goonsy’s Malt, OLO and Concept 8. Using our industry knowledge, creative flair, and a commitment to quality, we produce standout single malts for whisky lovers, old and new.
Based in the bustling centre of Glasgow, we are not far from the scenic rolling hills of the Highlands, the valleys of Speyside and the beautiful shores of the Scottish Isles, from where we hand select our sought-after whisky casks.
QUALITY AND VALUE
All of our casks are sampled by our tasting panel of ex distillery managers. Only when the spirit passes rigorous tests, will it then be bottled.

Established in 2017 Global Whisky Limited are independent bottlers of Scotch Whisky. We are a Scottish born company specialising in small batch releases under our three whisky brands: Auld Goonsy’s Malt and Concept 8. Located in the centre of Glasgow, we have begun to stand out amongst industry leaders through our varied and well-developed brands. Our bespoke processes of cask selection, maturation, and bottling caters perfectly to the unique colours and flavour characteristics of each individual . Our independence gives the freedom to make our own decisions and choose our own path, and we’ve chosen to devote ourselves to our customers who share our values of integrity and quality, with a view to providing extraordinary whisky without a extraordinary price tag.

David Gowans, Director :
"There isn’t a better way to share stories with your pals than enjoying a warming dram beside a roaring fire.” David grew up hearing nostalgic tales about the whisky industry from his father; a character in himself and the inspiration behind the legendary Auld Goonsy! David is an all round whisky enthusiast. Cask planning and sampling the whiskies are his favourite part of the job. With a love of travel, when he isn’t in Global Whisky HQ, David can be found exploring the world by boat. He’s a fan of a good sherry bomb single malt.
Alison Entwistle – Head of Operations :
“No two days are the same; everyday brings new challenges and exciting projects.” With years of whisky knowledge under her belt, Alison is a vital member of the Global Whisky Limited team. Organising cask moves, assisting with exports and co-ordinating bottling projects are her favourite parts of the job. On the rare occasion that the sun is shining in Glasgow, Alison enjoys spending time in the garden and when it isn’t, she likes to curl up indoors and indulge in a smooth, full bodied dram with hints of vanilla, butterscotch and caramel.
Lauren Kerr, Business Development Executive :
“I love seeing our customers rave about our whiskies, and hearing how much their customers are enjoying their drams too!” Lauren is new to the world of whisky and is keen to explore what the industry has in store. Laurens key focus is developing our brands and supporting our customers. A lover of the great outdoors, when Lauren isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with friends, ideally around a fire with a warming dram in her hand. Sweet, smooth sherry matured whiskies with hints of chocolate, raisins and caramel are what you would find in her glass.
Kelsi Gray, Business Support Administrator :
“I’m excited to be taking my first steps into such an interesting industry with the amazing team Global Whisky.” Kelsi is just beginning her journey into the whisky industry. Her creative energy and willingness to learn makes her a key asset to the Global Whisky team. Putting together and packaging whisky samples to begin their journey to our customers is one of her favourite aspects of the job. Although she isn’t a whisky drinker, Kelsi is a fan of the warming, smoky scent of a peated whisky.
